Egidio Meneghetti Central Library
The project for the Egidio Meneghetti Central Library combined the strengthening of the most vulnerable structural elements with the need to preserve the large open-plan areas used as reading rooms and book archives. The design addressed the existing building’s critical issues through measures compatible with its functional layout and coordinated with the subsequent energy-efficiency works to the roof. The completed works enabled the library to be fully returned to use and safely reopened to the university community.
